Billing and Collections are tightly integrated into the Doctations system. The Doctations software system includes a separate web application for medical billing/collections staff.

The physician group uses an “Outservices Selection” tool to determine “who” performs billing services for the practice division (if part of a larger group) or the medical practice (if independent). The billing services can be provided by on-site medical billing staff or it can be provided by outside billing companies as an online service.

Regardless of who performs the billing and the collection services, Doctations includes tools for paperless exchange of information, task management and mailbox-based messaging between all involved parties.

Billing tools are online and numerous. Besides supporting all of the basic EDI protocols, Doctations billing system provides billing staff with state of the art tools on a per-transaction basis. These services include:

• Claim scrubbing services.
• Paper mail preparation services.
• Coding services - automated and CPC Human Coding services
• Name and Address validation services
• Online transfer/management of accounts to professional collection services.
