Welcome to Doctations.com, the site for physicians and healthcare professionals who are members of the DocPatient Network. If you are tired of the frustrations of missed phone calls, insufficient data at the time of the doctor-patient encounter, delayed lab results, awkward documentation technology, and other communication problems that impede patient care, you will be pleased with how Doctations can serve your needs.
As a patient, you know that your doctors are being asked to do more in less time and with less than ever before and that this is not as doctors would have it. People become doctors to help those who are ill get well. However, as healthcare has grown more complex and less personal over the past decade or so, it’s increasingly easy to lose sight of this fact. Doctors have not. They are exceptionally frustrated that so many obstacles interfere with this central mission. DocPatient Network was developed by doctors and patients who want to make things better and see the Internet as an effective tool for doing so.
The DocPatient Network aims to restore the personal relationship between doctors and patients that was common in simpler times, while expanding and liberating consumer access to healthcare by using the Internet to connect doctors and patients through secure electronic communications, both written and video. The DocPatient Network is dedicated to patients who want to use the Internet to securely share a single, complete set of information, or medical record, with their doctors, to be able to keep their own copy of their doctors reports online, to send email or video/audio message to their doctors with questions or problems, or to schedule or change appointments. All of this is enabled by iMedicalHome.com, your portal to the network.
This subscription tier provides users with the ability to record their medical information online and to invite their doctors to become Doctations members for free. This way ALL can access and update the same set of medical information when authorized by the patient. This free membership tier allows users to receive an unlimited number of messages from their doctors and the doctors’ staff. These messages can contain attachments (e.g., consultation reports) that the user may view and print. In addition, this free membership provides the user with the ability to connect any Emergency Room doctor with his or her online medical record.
This subscription tier provides all of the above, as well as the ability to save medical reports online in the patient’s private, secure, “clinical filing cabinet” (aka, Patient Health Record). The user may send messages to the doctor’s staff if the staff is using the DocPatient messaging system. The users get 5 free fax pages per month, a total of 60 fax pages in or out per year. After that, faxes are $.10 per page (for example, you can fax documents into the “clinical filing cabinet” to avoid carrying papers from doctor to doctor). The user receives an Emergency Room Access Card which enables ER personnel to access the patient’s medical record. The member also receives invitations to provide to their doctors, family and friends that invite them to join the DocPatient Network and help improve healthcare for everyone!
This membership provides all of the above benefits for up to 6 (six) family members. Additional family members are charged $9.99 per year. Users get 8 free fax pages per month, a total of 100 fax pages in or out per year, after that faxes are $.09 per page.
This membership provides all of the above benefits for up to 25 (twenty five) family members.
Cancellation Policy: A user may cancel at any time without incurring a penalty.

Shared patient database. Doctations Technology, see patent. This is a specific subset of data that almost every physician, regardless of specialty, must acquire, analyze and record when caring for patient (e.g., allergies, medications, social history, medical history, surgical history, etc.). This represents a substantial portion of the medical record and, in fact, constitutes more than 50% of the content of a new patient report and more than 33% of the content of a follow-up report on average. In addition to recording this data in a report, Doctations also stores this data in a separate database meant to be shared among providers, regardless of geography and healthcare organization. This is done only with explicit patient permission.
The SPDB includes data like medication allergies, social history, past medical history, surgical history, hospitalizations, medications, vaccination history, review of systems, etc.

Doctations is the first online community where patients, doctors, and medical staff securely communicate with each other using video messages, research the latest treatment, and perform routine office functions using a highly secure Internet connection. Through Doctations, you can ask your doctor questions about specific health symptoms, receive audio/video and text messages from your doctor, request a prescription refill, request appointments, receive lab or test results, access health education information, and more--depending on the type of service you choose.
For a basic account fee, you can send and receive text messages from your doctor and other medical personnel and access and print your patient health record (PHR) for Free. For a small yearly fee, you can send messages to your doctor, schedule appointments, store your medical records, and access emergency call personnel. Billing and greater storage are available for an additional fee. (You are not charged a fee for having your records sent from one doctor to another doctor. We will provide patients and their doctors with the ability to add healthcare documents from providers and organizations not using Doctations, Inc. software for a reasonable fee.)
At Doctations, we have taken every available measure to ensure that your medical information is accessible only by you and by those whom you authorize. You have the ability to determine which health care providers and facilities have access to your medical record. We have taken measures above and beyond Federal privacy rules (i.e., Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, HIPAA) to ensure that your medical information is kept private and secure. All identifying information is encrypted, both during transit through the Internet and when stored in our database which is under the tightest possible security and protected from unauthorized access. Only you and your physician can read your messages sent using Doctations. Insurance companies and employers cannot access your medical information. You will be notified by email whenever your medical record is accessed. You can also see an audit trail to determine who has viewed your medical record information.
Doctations application requires only a connection to the Internet and a Web browser.
Doctations supports:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 on Windows 98 and higher
Firefox 2, 3 on Windows 98 and higher
Safari 1.3 or 2.0 on Mac OS X
Doctations messages differ from regular e-mail in that they are securely and confidentially transmitted and structured to the specific needs of patient-doctor communication. Also, unlike e-mail, which relies on multiple file servers distributed throughout the Internet, Doctations uses a centrally managed, secure database which ensures that messages cannot be intercepted.
As a Doctations user, you will not be given an e-mail address. You can access the secure Doctations service by logging on to the specific patient site, www.iMedicalHome.com signing in to your password-protected Doctations account. When a message is delivered to you from your doctor, you will see that you have a message waiting for you in your inbox. You will receive an email stating that you have received a secure message in iMedicalHome and to login to review the message.
Doctations will provide you and your doctors with the ability to add healthcare documents from providers and organizations not using Doctations software. Doctations will provide you with the ability to invite doctors participating in your care to join the doctor-patient network at no charge in order to receive documents and messages from other doctors. You can add names and identifying information for doctors and other providers who do not employ Doctations software.
You can use Doctations to communicate with only physicians who agree to use the system.
Once you have successfully registered with Doctations, and your doctor agrees to communicate with you using the service, it is very easy to use structured functions that allow you to send an audio/video or text message to your doctor, request a prescription refill, request appointments, receive lab or test results, etc. with just a click on the desired application.
Only you, your doctor, and those who you authorize can see the messages you send using Doctations.
Your doctor will update your medical record after each visit. As a Doctations user, it is not required that you complete your health record; however, keeping accurate records of your health habits, medications, allergies, and medical conditions provides useful information for your doctor.
If you are having trouble using the Doctations system, call 1-877-Doc-Patient, and there will be someone to assist you.
